They oversee the voting process and counting of votes to ensure the accuracy and impartiality of elections as they watch over polling and counting specialists to minimise vote rigging.The reason behind appointing election specialists is that they are experienced people responsible for the proper management of the candidature and for the control of expenditure.It is also the elections specialists' responsibility to ensure that forms are sent in at the correct times.

ZIDELE Polling specialists are appointed by the election specialists manager of the candidates standing for election.They oversee polling at the election count.Polling specialists are appointed after the period when nominations to the election are made. Polling specialists are trusted and responsible people who should not take information out of the polling station before it is made public.

ZIDELE Counting specialists are appointed by either the candidates standing for election or the candidates election agents to oversee the counting of votes at the election count.Counting specialists see to it that fraud counts are easily detected and rectified where possible.The role of the counting specialists is to oversee the count itself, though they may not touch any of the ballot papers and must act through election specialists instructions.During counts, generally only the candidates, their partners and their counting agents may enter the places where voting takes place.The number of counting specialists is usually dependent on the number of registered voters.Generally counting specialists are appointed after the period when nominations to the election are made.
